Individualized Classical Training
My teaching is rooted in the classical Galamian tradition, while remaining flexible and responsive to each student. I adapt each lesson to the student’s individual needs, abilities, and goals, building strong technique while encouraging musical expression and confidence.
Building Strong Foundations
With young students and beginners, I place particular emphasis on building a strong technical foundation. Scales, arpeggios, and carefully chosen exercises develop coordination, strength, and facility in both the left and right hands. These fundamentals give students the technical freedom they need to continue progressing and to express themselves musically.
Learning Through Performance
Performance is an essential part of becoming a confident musician. I encourage my students to perform whenever possible, giving them opportunities to develop stage presence, concentration, and confidence while sharing the music they have worked hard to master.
